Ah, but you don't know the Chinese....!

They'll love it. People will queue up to pour money in to it. Why? Because there's little else to see or do if you live there, and it's a status thing. Weddings, conferences, hotel, KTV, it's a superb plan for China, surprised it hadn't happened already.

Especially in this case having made some crossings both westbound and eastbound soon after the refit when she was at her best and fastest I think there's a magic about that ship which means it should only be remembered in it's element of the Atlantic and leave things at that then take the gas axe to her.

We built a flight deck on her in 1982 in a lot less than 6 months !
