Parking for Trent Bridge

Heading up to Trent Bridge for the cricket on Saturday and wondering where the best places to park are. We are heading into the city after the cricket for a meal in the evening.

Is it best to park up in the city centre then get a bus out or can we walk? Also any places to avoid that would charge the earth for all day parking?

Lots of West bridge near to the ground is resident's only/permits there are some areas that you can park but its just a matter of driving around and finding them.
There are some temp parking used for the football just the other side of the Trent I presume they will be open.
