Skyline

Whats the score with skylines? My local car dealer has a Nissan that looks like a 350Z but bigger but has skyline written all over it.
Is this an official new model?
It looks horrible. Is it any good? I assume not!

The new Skyline is a different thing to the old Skyline. I believe the replacement will be called a GTR. Hope that makes some sense

Does it look like a z350 from hell & have slitty headlights which go 1/2 way up the bonnet?if yes,it could be one,I thought they(Nissan that is) were going to call it R35 or G35 tho

That's a Skyline GT, also known as the Infiniti G35 over in the States. Not great looking cars. There is no GTR version yet, possibly not at all. If there is it probably won't look like that.

Many cars have been given the Skyline name over the years, even estates, in Japan Skyline's are better known as family saloon cars, it's just that the GTR is so well known everyone assumes that any car with 'Skyline' on the back must have 500bhp.....

Yup, he is quite right, in Japan the Skyline is just like a 3 series, so it goes from small engine i.e. 318 to performance car i.e. the M3 or as in the Skyline's case the GTR which we all know and love.

The next speedy Skyline though will just be called the GTR, and will have very similar styling to the 350Z
