Rustle your classic through autumn leaves

Classic car event without competition this Sunday

The chance to take part in non-competitive classic tours is one facet of the Historic Rally Car Register's programme that will be promoted on the club's stand (number 8210) at the Classic Car Show at the Birmingham NEC from 22-24 October.

Whilst the HRCR has a busy programme of events for those who like their rallying to be challenging and competitive, the club is keen to show classic car owners that classic events can also come without a competitive edge.

Each year, the HRCR organises a series of scenic tours aimed at those who want to enjoy their classic car and share events with like-minded owners. These daylight events take in glorious scenery as well as a variety of local attractions within a relaxed framework and are devoid of competition.

One such event will run on Sunday (17 October), ahead of the following weekend's annual Classic Car Show. The Autumn Leaves Scenic Tour runs over an 80-mile route in the Forest of Dean and is open to cars at least 20 years old. Participants need only a valid driving licence for this type of 'touring assembly'.

The Autumn Leaves is just one of many such events organised across the country by the HRCR; the perfect way to use a classic car without moving into serious competition!

So, if you are interested in taking part in non-competitive motoring events in a classic car, visit the Historic Rally Car Register on stand 8210, or go to www.hrcr.co.uk
