So I decided to help keep my mind busy and help my resume to start volunteering at the local Victory Mission. I figure it beats sitting at home waiting for someone to MAYBE call me back for a job and helps me get into shape while helping my community. It's about a 8 mile bike ride from point A to B, there are some nasty hills on the first leg of the journey (It's horrible on the way home lol biggrin ) and then I hit bike paths for the last few miles (thank you google!)

I was just curious how hard do you think this will be to do on a normal cheap Walmart style bike? I haven't ridden a bike in years and I will train for 1-2 weeks before I start to get my legs broken in a little bit. I'm also curious what I should plan to bring with me, I was thinking bat, two tubes, water, wrench/socket, and air pump. I'm not 100% out of shape but I'm not going to lie and say I'm in good shape either lol.

Here is my path here, http://goo.gl/maps/AOteR the first mile hits me with several hills and the rest appear to be fairly easy going. Once I hit west ave I will have a bike path the rest of the way, the other streets are 35ish and the only danger I see is the hilly area at the start with 45mph limit lol. Thanks.
