Bristol to St Austell

My daughter just phoned from St Austell to moan that it took her 3.5 hours to drive there from Bristol via Plymouth. Gone to some gig in Eden Project and nearly late for it.

Any locals on line ?

Is it quicker on the A30 over Bodmin Moor ? I don't want her to miss the flight home from Bristol.

Two hours and fifteen minutes on a good day without being silly. 70 mph 'ish' all the way down the M5 and A30 apart from a few miles at the other end which is single carriageway.
