Does anyone know what the intention is for all the ground work currently being carried out alongside the A505 just passed Baldock? Looks like a very large site they are clearing.

I was wondering that too.

A quick google shows it's going to be an anaerobic digestion plant. Nice.

thanks, I also wondered what was going on.

That slip road there looks a bit short and narrow. Might cause a few problems for lorries slowing down to exit the A505

They're re-profiling it and will only use the south side as the 180 bend on the north side will cost them too much to change.

They reckon on 66 vehicle movements a day and 45,000 tons of supermarket food going in a year, i remain to be convinced that the farm can dispose of the 36,000 tons of waste it produces a year...
