Spider-man the cyclist

So, as my boy (3 years old) thinks Spiderman is the best thing since sliced bread.

I was searching on Ebay for a spiderman bike I can convert to a balance bike for now and then build back up to a normal bike later when he gets the hang of it.

Anyway, I came across THIS

I'm not sure I have the self confidence to pull it off though

Aside from the negative feedback, there'll be a very good reason why these 'cycling outfits' are priced at £18.41.

It might well have a lot to do with the negative attention I assume you'd get if you wore them to ride a bike


That said, 'Fathers for Justice' might be interested in a job lot??

I took a punt a while ago on a fake northwave bones jersey from China. It didn't cost very much (£15 iirc) and it arrived in good time. The jersey is bobbins, horrible fit and crappy quality. Complete waste of time. It sits at the bottom of the cycling drawer along with my non breathable waterproof jacket.

Seeing it has got me tempted ( )

I've got a 'stealth' black MTB, so I'm wondering what the reaction might be if I turned up a Swinley Forest and lined up at the start of the Red Trail in a head to toe 'Venom' outfit.

I'd imagine some less than complimentary comments, unless I completely smashed the lap record

I don't know - I think that sort of stuff has its place on 'charidy' rides like the L2B.

I would imagine you would be covered from head to toe in a rash after a couple of miles and doubt the chamois would be quality but I would wear it!

Just buy the best bike you can in a vaguely appropriate colour, plus a load of Spiderman stickers & accessories. Easier, likely cheaper and he gets a better bike.

Haha I have a real Northwave Bones jersey, I love it although I can't take Lycra seriously but realise the technical and comfort benefits. Going to get the heart one next.

Good point. TBH Ebay isn't really the best place to look as everyone seems to think an old bike mistreated by their kids for a few years is still worth as much as it was when new. I've found that the local selling groups on Facebook have been much better for this kind of thing.
