Mine would be the Coldpay cover of You Only Live Twice. The original is one of my favourite songs ever

The rest of the band does quite well, the intro is quite promising, but the singer sounds like he really doesn't want to be there, and can't even be bothered to get the words right.

If he didn't want to sing it, he shouldn't have. Seeing as he did, he should be severely punished in some suitably musical way.

Will Young - Light My Fire (The Doors song)

If you're going to choose a song to cover, don't choose one by someone with a far better singing voice.

Chris Martin should be punished for his crimes against music anyway, let alone for that cover.

George Michael - True Faith

The New Order original is a work of genius, the George Michael cover is utter turd.

Under The Bridge by some girl band who I can't remember the name of and can't be bothered looking it up.

No evidence can be found of the unremitting horror that is Sinetta's version of Joan Armatrading's Love & Affection.

Do NOT go looking for it. What has been heard, cannot be unheard. vomit

Avril Lavigne (I think) covering Basket Case, which only narrowly beats her covering Fuel

Not the worst cover I've heard but it's definitely up there. Shame. I loved the original, I loved the drum break, I can even tolerate the Fu Gees but the whole mix of the two - no no no.

On the other hand there version of No Woman No Cry wasn't too bad.

I went to the cinema when that song was 'out' and was subjected to it instead of trailers before the film. I did wonder what the deuce this noise was!

Honestly, I hated this song when I was in primary school when it came out. I have my own reasons but I think this may actually be the song on this planet that I hate the most.
