Get some proper advice. It isn't something to take lightly. My wife caught it despite the tablets, and could have died.

Depends where you're going though - different tablets are effective in different places. Try to go where you going in the dry season - and avoid lakes,showers anywhere wet really. Seek doctors advice - they'll tell you which tablets for which country. Theres loads of stuff on the web about it too.
If your unlucky they'll recommend Larium which will make your hair fall out and get really paranoid ,trips,schizpophrenia etc.
Still better than getting Malaria eh ?

I know it's Scottish but they have a slightly more helpful web-site than the Dept of Health.

The simple answer is there's no such thing as a good Maleria tablet. It depends very much on when and where you are going.
