Manifold group buy NOW!!
Discussion
Having got in a few prices which were all very similar and several discussions with suppliers I have decided to go with ACT who responded with the following:
"As you probably know I am the TVR distributor for JP exhausts, this is good timing because they are increasing prices by 3% from July 1st
S1 2.8, S2/3 2.9 & S3c & 4c manifolds RRP £439 pr + vat
Group offer for 3 sets £395 + VAT, delivered. (2-3 weeks)
Group offer for 5 sets £385 + VAT, delivered. (2-3 weeks)
If you can order at least 3 sets by Next Monday latest these prices stand, and I can add to that order at these prices.
If you order after 2nd July + 3% on above prices
Happy to supply mixture of any of the S manifolds and still honour the group buy price."
Anyone interested please place your order with Tim Lamont at ACT on 01342 311790 stating you are part of the group buy.
My order is going in on Friday so thats one for a start. If you buy please post so we know how its going.
p.s I am advised by Tim and others that there is little mark up on these items so you are unlikely to get them cheaper.
Rob
oops! hope this post doesn't break any rules

Would ACT supply 3 offside S1 2.8 manifolds?
Shiny tubular stainless one side and a great big lump of cast iron the other ......
Sorry you've not had more interest Rob after all your hard work, I'm tempted but it is a fair lump of cash (even with the appreciable discount if you get three buyers) and mine are still in reasonable condition.
I now fully expect on to disintegrate half way up a Swiss mountain

Yes it is a lot of dosh, but I think it is worth it in the long run as I have no plans to sell the car and if I did the new manifolds would help get a good price. Can do most stuff myself so save money there anyway, some pay this much just for a service!I now fully expect on to disintegrate half way up a Swiss mountain

Have a good tour, must do one myself one of the days.
Rob.
Well Rob, you did your best, but I think it was not the best time, with people pre-occupied with the Eurotour, summer hols looming, and others generally having to watch expenditure carefully in the current economic climate.
But your efforts are appreciated, so keep the faith mate.
All the best,
Glen
