Drove past a tiny car dealer in central london last week, called Z1 sales and hire, and in the window, was a bright red Enzo with a £1m price tag, and a chameleon orange Murcielago with a £250k price tag!!

Is that the one in Marylebone? If it is, they had a £200,000 gallardo in recently. I think they are ever so slightly out of touch.

Yes - just off Baker Street.
There was a guy in a Lamborghini fleece doing something to the Enzo when I went passed, flashing the headlights on and giving it some beans!

Didn't actually sound as fruity as I expected.

There's a lot of oil money from the middle east in London at the mo. If a rich swarthy gentleman who wasn't on on Ferrari's list of 'approved wealthy' Enzo customers decides on an impulse purchase these folk 'avin a larf' (and I agree) may realise their hefty profit after all. Can't be Tom Hartley expanding south surely, I doubt he'd run an outfit this way...

No you are right, Tom would ask at least £1,250,000 for the Enzo.

I had a frien who worked for dunhill. Couldn't shift any wallets at 80 quid each (had 500 of them) moved the price to 450 each and sold them in a week.

the rules change with top end products- maybe these cars are the same to a Non Pistonheads buyer

Dunhill... one of my favourite shops. If anyone hasn't been to their store in London, go asap! It's a petrolheads delight. Everything is just sooo damn desirable.

So do you go in there as the freelance journalist or the historian?

I think the latter is probably more Dunhill, myself.

Never been there, but my old man has a few times.
