What bike?(Sorry!)

I started riding about 18 months ago and got myself a Cannondale SL4 mountain bike. I'm doing more road riding at the moment and when I popped into Evans I noticed a few nice Cannondale road bikes!

I've had a quick look online and quite like the look of this:

Don't really want to spend more than £600 but any alternative suggestions?

Shimano 2300 is bottom of the range, I don't know what size you want but Sora is a better groupset for the same price here

I've had a CAAD8 for a year and love it. But I'd really suggest getting at least Sora or preferably Tiagra gears.

Great bikes. I have a CAAD9 and a Supersix, both Ultegra. Be careful with mail order, and these frames ride bigger than say Treks. They arte more European in geometry. My mates 56cm Trek Madone is on a par size-wise with my 54cm 'Dale.

Yep. I have a 54cm for my 31" inside legs.

Ok, I've upped the budget a bit (To £700) so I've narrowed it down to a Cannondale CAAD 8 Sora or a felt F95 team.
Any opinions on these?

Well after a quick look in my local bike shop I've decided that I'm getting a CUBE Peloton! Ordering it Monday and it should be ready by next weekend.

Ive ordered one of these and you can upgrade it to various different specs and they seem a little more value for money than the more mainstream brands, this will be my first road bike as im getting fed up on my mountain bike of getting nowhere quick. The only downside is the slightly lengthy delivery time.

Very nice, just a bit out of my budget (I've already spent £150 more than I expected!).
The only downside with the CUBE is they cant get the Triple version so I'll end up with a compact. I'm used to mountain bike gearing so will I find a compact hard going? The guy in shop recommended the triple initially but when he realised they were out of stock he said I should be ok on a compact (might need to stand up on steep hills etc.) but as my fitness level improves I should find it easier?

Just fit an 11-28 or 12-27 cassette and it will give you gearing close to a triple at much less weight.
