ACE CAFE MONDAY 24 JUNE 2013

Is anyone going to the Porsche night at the Ace Cafe tonight which starts at 6 pm.
Also has anyone been to one of the Ace Porsche nights before if so is it any good and worth me travelling 200 miles round trip for.

I should be going tonight.

The last 2 meets (April and May) have seen 40-50 cars attend each time. FYI, most cars don't get there until 7pm.

I used to go regularly when I lived about 40miles away.

Not worth a 200 mile return trip IMO.

You park your car (perhaps outside the grounds if there are too many inside)

You get out of your car. You stroll around, perhaps have a word with other Porsche owners. You use the cafe.

You go back home when you get bored.

Perhaps feeling slightly "empty" after having driven 100 miles to get there, via rather uninspiring routes, possibly clogged, facing another 100 miles to get back home, and all you have done is what is listed in the preceding paragraph, and there is not even any guarantee that any other vehicle of interest to you will turn up.

So no, it's only worthwhile if it's not too much effort, which is not the same as saying that it's not worthwhile. It's just a casual meet and should be treated accordingly.
