I'm feeling like a bit of a gloom-monger at the moment what with this and the recent Murray Walker thread. Anyway, Ferrari's first F1 winner died aged 90 on Saturday. Sad news indeed, all the 'legends' seem to be dropping off now but Gonzalez died very well to get to 90, given all the dangers of F1 in the '50s.

I'm pretty sure he was at Goodwood Festival of Speed the first time I went years ago. Think he was guest of the owner of the BRM V16 there that year ?
Seemed like a nice guy and a gentleman racer from what I've read. RIP.
