It sounds like Shane Meadows is finally ready to make the Tom Simpson biopic mentioned back in 2011:

Who should play the lead though?
Has to be Joe Gilgun IMO ('Woody' in 'This is England')?:
Meadows needs to get Gilgun out getting some miles in on a Brian Rourke!
How about Paddy Considene as Barry Hoban?:
