Amazing quadcopters
Discussion
A few weeks ago, one of these crash landed in my garden. I could hear a mad buzzing noise and when I looked up it was a bit of a Father Ted moment - Small? Or far away?
It had a Go-Pro attached to it, and a mobile phone number to call if found. The guy came round a few minutes later, and gave me a demo. It's got live video feed back to a laptop, has GPS homing so if it goes out of range it can return to base but becomes a bit stuck if crash-lands up side down.
Amazing man-toy, but his set-up was about £2500.

We should have drones following racing cars around a circuit to give a "Pole Position" type view.
It would be great for a road car too, replacing rear view mirrors - no blind spots - and perfect for parking.
When you were stuck on a stationary motorway you could send it off to see what the other roads were like.

Does anyone know of a commercially available Quad capable of lifting a GoPro that does not cost a fortune??......I would buy one if I could get it under (say) $1000.......
DJI Phantom. I have one. It's great, but my first flight out I screwed up and lost it - got it back in the end, but it was a bit hair-raising.Read the manual, and then look at the instructional videos on their website - if you don't, you'll probably end up doing the same thing I did.
