GT3 Insurance Dilemna
Discussion
I've been going through the painful annual experience of sorting the insurance... and I have a dilemma. I have 2 OK quotes with a couple of key differences.
CCI are in at around £700 including the usual 5 track days, which is enough for me I think. £750 excess + £1000 if on track. CCI choice of repairer if I need to claim.
Manning are at £800 including unlimited track days. £750 excess + 10% of value of car if on track (so over £5k). I can go anywhere to get it repaired.
In the grand scheme £100 difference doesn't really matter. What concerns me about the Manning quote is the huge excess on track. What concerns me about the CCI quote is the need to use their choice or repairer.
Has anyone any experience of claiming through CCI? Are their approved bodyshops good enough? Or should I pay the extra potential excess Manning require and be able to go to an approved Porsche bodyshop???
Help please.
