I'm thinking of going from Wilts as a postponed fathers day gift. Has this event happened before, and if so is it good?

First time for a Porsche specific event, but it's Beaulieu, it's great value, it includes access to all attractions, at least the last 10 miles of your journey will be on great roads and there should be some stunning Porsches on display.
Turn-out weather dependant, of course, but I'll be there.

Well as Verwood is very small (1 expensive petrol station and 3 pubs) ill take a guess and either a Cayman or a Silver 993 ive seen a few times?

There are far more Porsches than pubs in Verwood so guess again - mines further towards the 'classic' end of the spectrum. I can add a black 997 and a yellow 996 (I think) Targa to your list. Either of them yours?

Black 997 belongs to a Dentist. Not seen the yellow 996 although i did see a yellow GT2 a bit ago but not since. No mine is the silver C4S. Your isnt a red 944 is it?

Wrong again - mine's a (the?) white 3.2 Carrera. All these Porsches (and there are more, I'm sure)...any outsiders reading this will think Verwood is a leafy suburb in Cheshire!

Ahh, ive not seen you then. As i only go home on weekends then i only have 2 days to see Verwoods Porsche's.
If your going to Beaulieu then let me know when and if you want to travel up. Im sure others will join in along the way.

I want to move to Verwood (wherever that is). Sounds like more Porsche than people. That and a few pubs ...... well can't be a bad place. hehe

I'm definitely commited to going as I'm doing a stint on the Canford Classics stand - which also means I'll be there before the event opens to the public. At least I'll avoid the Verwood roads when they are gridlocked with all the local Porsches setting out for Beaulieu...
If you do decide to pop along, look up the Canford stand, we should be showing a couple of nice early 911's - possibly mine as well.
All air-cooled though, I'm afraid!
