His mum changed his nappy, took his keyboard away and gave him a stern lecture about breaking his brand new Ferrari toy car into bits and trying to rebuild it with wooden wheels.... or something similar

I think he was taken on by the Russian Civil Aviation Authority to build collision warning systems for their planes.

My Fiat will be next Ferrari for me. It is still Italian correct? But when I put the 12 piston engine in it will be very fast, even faster than a TVR!

Looking at a photo of a Ferrari engine it may be a little too long to fit in my car. Can I remove some of the piston to make it shorter?

Could I do this myself with a saw?

A saw what? Might be possible, just have plenty of gaffer tape handy.

And here was me, thinking he'd gone forever.

Glad to see the ambitions being toned down towards something slightly more realistic.

I look foward to hearing of progress on this new project.

Williams did that to convert a Rover V8 into a V6 for the prototype 6R4, I've seen a V8 flathead Ford home converted into a V6.

You will need some files, a drill and some Araldite as well as your saw though.

It might be better to just take out the pistons and use the empty cylinders as storage cannisters.

actually, the unwanted cylinders make great alloy cup holders. You could probably flog them to Zertec. They could add some sticky back plastic, et voila! I'd stick them on my dash.
