Plenty of options available. How long do you want to spend driving?

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest there are no 'fun' roads in the Netherlands, and speeding is very much discouraged/impossible

head straight south on the a2 all the way past Eindhoven towards Liege(Luik/Lüttich on the signs) then go cross country south east past Spa, Malmedy or Monschau and thataway

I wouldn't be to concerned about adding an extra 100-150 miles onto the jorney if the roads are good.

+1

Suggested route is to get out of NL ASAP.

Arnhem - A3 - Duisburg - Dusseldorf - Koln - Bonn.

There might be one or two interesting country roads
SW of Bonn, but I wouldn't bank on it.

well there's the whole Eifel area, hence my idea of coming in to Nürburg area westwards from Southern Belgium

Duisburg-Ddorf-Bonn-the ring isn't too exciting either

Options...
1. E25 south from Liege > Chevron > Stavelot > pop into Spa Francorchamps > then E42 to Prum > 410 to Kelberg > 210 to Nurburg
2. Aachen then the wonderful sublime 258 all of the way to Nurburg.

Timing is everything - I last followed most of route 2 from Verviers (joined the 258 at Hofen) on a Saturday morning a couple of weeks ago and then returned on route 1 to Spa in the afternoon and both roads were blissfully empty driving

DON'T be tempted to go on the N67 through Eupen - the first couple of miles SE of Eupen is the roughest "road" I have ever driven on!
