Annual leave minimum allowance

What is the minimum legal amount of annual leave for a part time worker who works one day per week? By my reckoning it should be 5.6 days, but my employer only allows 4 days.

It is 5.6 which can include public holidays if any fall on the day they work. That bit is a little problematic if they work one day a week and it's Mondays, since there are always four on a Monday, quite often there are five and there can be six.

It is Saturdays only hence the only public holidays which will fall then are periodically Christmas and New Year.

Not even them, the public holidays associated will always be moved to Monday or Friday. However if the company is closed they can tell you to take a day off on that day.

The 5.6 can be rounded up but can't be rounded down.

It used to be 4 days but increased to 5.6 a few years ago. Seems like your employer has failed to keep current with the law.
