Hi guys
Thinking of selling my Gen 2 997 turbo. I have both PDK steering wheels but currently have the paddle shift wheel installed.... Better to change over to multifunction wheel prior to selling? Is there a market for selling the paddleshift wheel? Bear in mind have to pay to have wheel reprogrammed...

Thanks in advance...

My money's on most people advising you to keep with the paddle shift option.

I reckon a lot of people will move on to the next car if you sell it with the multi function wheel installed. I'd sell it with both. Paddle shift installed and the multi function wheel as a free extra. Would help to give it a bit of a usp over the other turbos out there.

Sell the car as it was originally specced .
You can offer the second wheel to the buyer or sell later on .

Paddles every time. I have multi function on my manual car and hardly use the buttons. I would only consider a pdk if it had paddles and wouldn't really care about the second wheel so reckon you should sell that separately

The paddle wheel will fetch £500 on a good day. I can't see enough financial incentive to swap them. Sell with paddle wheel attached and punt the multifunction out later for whatever it'll fetch.

Thinking of ugrading to the 997.2 Turbo in next few months (currently watching the prices as the new 991 TT gets introduced) , I would not consider multi function steering wheel. Paddle shift only for me on the PDK.

However I did not realise that they could be switched over so appreciate the heads up on this which may now give me greater flexibility when buying although I will have to factor in the cost of the change into my decision making process if my perfect car does not have the paddles fitted.

Takes around 5-10mins to change wheel over.. I was looking for a turbo with paddles only but found car I wanted but had the multifunction wheel. So if car is perfect bar the steering wheel, it's possible to change to paddles. Was quoted £1000-1500 depending on which OPC..

If you have a car with a multi-function steering wheel you can change it over to a paddle shift wheel, though an OPC will need to re-program the software in the car though and a stalk needs to be added to control the obc on newer cars (981/991) along with a new steering column casing.

If you have a car with a paddle shift wheel factory fitted you cannot change to multi-function.
