A friend of mine went to a Stagecoach open day to have a go at driving a bus. He realised it wasn't for him very quickly...he said the vibrations ( presumably from the steering wheel) were so bad he couldn't have lasted more than an hour.
You could ask your local bus company if they do trial days to see how you got on.

A modern bus is nicer to drive than many cars , auto gearboxes, nice power steering an absolute doddle, if the steering was vibey then it had a fault.
