We're wanting to install an Audi 6 disk Autochanger into a R56 Mini Cooper. Is it possible and if so, what do we need?

Cheers

Why do you want to fit an Audi unit?

The Audi unit was a gift, I'm trying to find out if it'll work in the Mini, or whether it's a non-starter.

Is there a magic 'fit all' cable available ?

usually changer leads are manufacturer specific so i cant see how you are going to do it, unless you find an audi head unit of course!

Putting an audi head unit in the mini would be pointless. The audio unit in the Mini R56 is integrated into the speedo, as such it is a complete pig to upgrade without butchering the car.

I suspect there would be no way unless you managed to make up a custom cable but then you are relying on the control mechanism to be the same between Audi and BMW (highly unlikely). A BMW unit would probably work........

It would be a lot easier to just use the Aux in and get a cheap MP3 player.
