Going for a full track day on thursday @ Goodwood and get to choose to drive 4 of the following. Has anyone done this day - recommendations (I've chosen one already):

Mk2 Jaguar
AC Cobra (rep)
Ford Mustang ‘66
D-Type Jaguar (rep)
Aston Martin DB4
Lotus Cortina
E-Type Jaguar
Porsche Carrera RS

Cheers....

Would be interested to hear about the day please. I saw it being advertised at the Breakfast Club and am quite tempted.

Went today - glorious weather. Got to drive the following (in order), with stars out of five -

- DB4 (*)
- Carrera RS (***)
- D-Type (****)
- Cobra (****)
- Boxster Spyder (*****)
- Ferrari 458 (*****)
- Hotlap in Caterham Supersport (**************....)

As beautiful as the old cars are, I am a definitely a 'new car' person. First time on the track in mine and it was superb. The Ferrari was like a big Lotus Elise. The hot lap in the Caterham was something else. The 73 RS suffered for me because it was LHD and I couldn't get to grips with it. The D-Type was special and the instructor was teaching us to 'fly' it rather than drive it. Quite an experience and a lot to take on board.

I would recommend the day - the classics are great cars, but I personally found more fun in the new cars. As always, it was brilliantly organised and Goodwood was glorious.

E Type.

The surprise to me is there was no hesitation in the choice.
