I'm dreaming of a world that includes me as a multiple TVR owner. For this to happen now, I'll have to get an M in place of my daily drive (a 1.2 Clio).

How will an M stand up to that?

It would only be used 2 days a week plus some weekends. (Call it 250 miles a week), and I'll obviously have another TVR to cover any periods when it does require work.

Is it do-able?

Not a problem

If your only using it 2 days a week then V6 basic wins, other than that they have the same problems of other TVR's with the demist and you getting hot in the cockpit, but the oh the fun you will have on the A and B roads!

What should I do about servicing? And is there a buyer's guide about?

Servicing is simple (basic) no electronics to go wrong and so not lots of money.

If you remember the 3Ltr Capri its the same engine and gearbox, myself having one would think of getting a Taimar for ease of getting anything in the back.

Thought I would add that for myself as an old git (47)it costs me £131.48 FC with full window cover a year.

I ran mine for a year and 16K miles before I got another TVR. No more problem than any other quirky old car.

Has more than enough power to cope with modern traffic.

You'll get to know Adrian Venn at Exactly-TVR though
Top man for keeping them on the road!
