rear suspension on a budget

Does anyone have the plastic shims that sit between spring and damper on the original konis,? Mine are split and I Am weighing up some options, keep the (perfectly servicable) konis and add new springs, bushes and a clean up or send my hand me down avos for rebuild (Avo unsure if there fixable) + New springs and bushes or perhaps someone has a better pair I can buy ? I know lots of people got to gaz via avo, I'm sorry if its cheeky to ask but I've hit a bit of a wall

ML Performance Parts selll the springs for (I think) £45 + VAT. They'll have the bushes and maybe the other part as well.

Yep spoken to ml performance, shims may prove problematic

What do they look like Mikel ? Are they just a simple disc that could be cut out of something plasticy ?

Yes its a big plastic washer, have searched the workshop for something similar, I can probably make something just thought it was worth asking first

Where does it fit? I ask this because when my GAZ nickels came back from service they were fitted with split washers on the shock chrome shaft. This apparently prevents the bump stop creating suction and drawing oil past the seals when they bottom out.

If I decide to stick with konis I need 4 but adding all the bits up I'm now waiting for a price from gaz for a rear pair, do you have the shims Adrian ?
