Seems the clutch on the Boxster is fooked, what sort of numbers are we looking at for replacement? It's an 05 so probably won't go direct to Porsche, more a local specialist.

Have seen an OE Sachs clutch (assume what was originally used?) on porscheshop(.co.uk) for just under £300. I this about right and worth a look?

I didn't get much warning of it going, started slipping a bit yesterday and now it's terrible, althought it's a manual it sounds more like an automatic now! Is this normal to go so quick?

Cheers

Mark

Not sure where you are but speak to Russ at revolution Porsche Brighouse, prices on their site.

They are very well respected.

Sadly nowhere near Yorkshire, but £449 sounds very reasonable. Lets hope my local specialist, Steve bull, is around the same, when I call on Monday :-)

Is around the £500 mark about the going rate?

Not 100% sure of all indy prices but opc will charge double that. make sure you get the rms seal changed if the clutch is being done.

It's worth spending the cash on getting the IMS replaced with an uprated one too in my view.

It's cheaper 'whilst you're in there'.
