information on uncles war log/missions?

My father & me are trying to find out additional information about my great uncle who was a bomber pilot during WW2.

We have his logbook for when he was in 100 squadron on Lancasters, but we have subsequently found out he was also a member of 115 squadron & had ops over Norway. There was a previous log book, which unfortunately has been lost.
He was stationed in various RAF bases while a member of 115 squadron, Marham, Lossiemouth..& many others that I can't remember off the top of my head.

Is there any way we can find out more about the missions & aircraft he flew, I was wondering if the RAFA could help, or if there was a members past/present website or group representing 115 squadron?
What about squadron record books, would they (if exist & accessible) have info on operations?

Unfortunately he was kia February 1943 while returning from a mission in a Lancaster as part of 100 squadron.

Squadron records can and do have information, some are online but many probably not. From the ones I've seen they will detail each sortie and anything outstanding, but little personal detail.

I believe there is a charge for this service.

Additionally every RAF unit has/had a formal recorded 'History' (known as the RAF Form 540) as well as individual 'Operations Records' (RAF Form 541). Once de-classified, these are available from the National Records Office at Kew.

In the case of 115 Sqn, which flew Lancaster MkII a/c from RAF Witchford (near Ely), these documents are also held as copies in the records dept at Cambridgeshire County Council. There is also a small museum and memorial dedicated to 115 Sqn at Witchford.

GGG, can you suggest somewhere that might hold records for WW1 RAF? I have name and rank but no squadron.

National Archives would be a great place to start if your after WW1 records.
