Which Decathlon Fit?

Hello,

I will be getting a new bike soon and I think either the Decathlon Fit 5 or 7 seem to be the best available at the price range and for what I need (tracks, pot holed country lanes and road). I am coming from an old Subway 1 which I have had since 2003.

Is the Fit 7 worth the extra money? Has anyone got any experience of either of these or have another recommendation?

I've got a Triban 7, which is essentially the full road version of the Fit 7. As far as I could tell the Fit range was identical to the Triban range (frames, wheels) but without the rollover handlebars. Some of the group set components might be a little different too.

You might have better luck checking for reviews of the equivalent Triban - I was going to go for a 3 but then justified stretching my budget to the 5, hence why I came away with the 7 :-)

IMHO the chain set upgrade and Alu/carbon frame justify the extra cost from the 5 to the 7. Not much in it though.
