Sorry if this has been done to death but I need 2 new back boxes so can anyone recommend an aftermarket exhaust for sub £1k that has a decent grunt.

Can't justify a pse unfortunately.

Thanks in advance

For a normally aspirated car, Milltek: http://millteksport.com/exhaust.products.cfm?varia...

I used them, no problems at all and some of the cheapest on the market.

Arguable small power gain and a lovely noise!

I've got Oettle bypass on mine:

Sounds great! I think they were about £600. More info here:

I bought the oettle bypass boxes online.

Genuine but second hand boxes modified to sound like a PSE.

If your boxes are rotten this is probably the most cost effective repair.

€400 on an exchange basis, he sends you a modified, reconditioned set of standard mufflers, you then send him your old ones (only costs about £15 in P&P). My friend has these on his 996.1 and it sounds fab. I have the 993 version on, well, my 993...also very pleased.

Mine had a pair of stainless steel Dansk boxes fitted for well within your budget. Sound a lot better but not too obtrusive and IIRC come in 3 different sound configurations so you can choose how loud they are.
