Twenty or so years ago I did nine weeks without a day off.
These days I'd be pissed off doing nine days (and I dont' get paid overtime anymore)
That is most years for me between March and October. These days I'd be pissed off doing nine days (and I dont' get paid overtime anymore)
Last year I think I had 10 days off (including weekends) from the Easter b/h through to the middle of October.
At the minute the usual weekday is 8am to 7pm in the office, home, then work there from 9 until midnight. Weekends are 8am on site (so anything from 4:30 alarm to 7:15) until 9pm ish.
Odd thing is that I feel more tired when I have a day off...
Next 2 weekends are at home though so will be spent packing for LM and doing all those jobs at home I haven't had time to do. Might buy a car as well if one takes my fancy as getting board of the Golf.

Do you have a plan, as it were, with those kind of hours? What I mean is are you planning on doing that for a few years and retiring early to enjoy the fruits of your hard earned labour?
I wish!Weekday work is the bread winner and is doing okay but will never make me a rich man. Should keep me in 5+ year old Pork, a roof I like over my head, and nice but not lavish holidays (to be taken in Feb!)
Weekend work is as much a hobby as work to be fair. Ball breaking but with a job in the office all week it is great to be outside all weekend, even if sometimes it can be hateful. Whilst it is not really life and death the highs of what I do at the weekend are greater than anything most will be able to feel, the lows are as extreme though! Every minute you are working you have to be on it or over a million people might know and ‘a bad day at the office’ could be your last job. We were in the bar at Imola the other week having a chat about the job and reckon that there are an awful lot if freelancers who drink far more than they should chasing the dragon as by Tuesday you are trying to beat the buzz you had on Sunday night...

If being On-Call counts, 90-days straight where I had to be within 20-mins of home or the Office (which are 3 miles apart).
Due to a colleague's serious illness.
Now I think that that would be as, if not harder, than what I do. At least when I am not working that is it - being on call means no drinkies, always thinking you might have to drop and run, etc.Due to a colleague's serious illness.
