Took my car to the OPC today for a health check to see if they would find anything that needs doing. Sat there for a couple of hours nervously.

They found all 6 downpipe bolts are corroding on the exhaust, they marked this as amber, and would charge £324
Both rear tyres Bridgestone Potenza's outer 4mm, middle 4mm, inner 3mm, they marked this as red, and would charge £301.24 each fitted.

That's all they found, I thought I got off lightley. They even gave the car a wash and a hoover and I din't have to get my wallet out.

Did you ask them why Porsche use such crappy bolts that are not fit for purpose? biggrin

That's not to replace the downpipe, it's to replace the 6 bolts.

Got my wires crossed, on my 996 manifold to cat fixing were needed to be changed and I paid roughly something like that, called all the indies and was only £20/30 different so went local OPC as close.

So your tyres exceeded the minimum tread depth required for Porsche to retail an Approved Used car, yet they marked them as a red/urgent? confused

Count yourself lucky
I went along for a health check, got the schpiel about 'over-revs in 4,5,6', 'gearbox oil sweat', 'non-Porsche battery' and perhaps compression test towards getting their w'tee. It was only when I gave the car a wash at home 2 days later that I noted a crack at the corner of the rear lamp, with one the 3 lamp side-bolts missing. The crack does not look fresh, I can only surmise that this was not my original lamp. Enquiries to the OPC entirely unrewarding.furious
C'est la vie, eh...
