After not using for a couple of weeks, the engine sounds a bit clattery for about 10 seconds and then it subsides. Should I worry? Any views as to likely cause. Hopefully not big ends (any further tests recommended?)
You probably have hydraulic valve lifters. Oil pressure needs to be build up if engine wasn't started for a while. I have the same on my S3 and wouldn't worry about it.
