IIRC the original centre locks had a torque figure of 500nm stamped on them and when they were changed in a recall the new ones had a figure of 600nm stamped on them.

A couple of weeks ago I had the rear hubs changed under the new recall and just noticed today that all four centre locks are now stamped with a torque figure of 100nm

Would any other 997.2 GT3 owner who has had the hubs changed please check their's and see what figure it shows? I could perhaps understand the different figure if the new rear hubs are of a different design that doesn't require such a large torque to be applied , but does this mean that the front hubs etc have been changed as well or have I been supplied with four wrong centre lock nuts?

Many thanks

100Nm doesn't sound enough. Standard 5 stud wheel bolts are 130Nm.

The 991 GT3 hubs appeared to say 100Nm on the nut.

They actually droped having the full torque figure printed on the nut when changing to the new '600Nm' nut. Perhaps in anticipation of a 700Nm recall?? evilsmile

So nuts with only 100Nm on them are the newer 600Nm post campaign nuts.

The 100nm figure is for the emergency tightening procedure. Check your revised centrelock supplement.

OK , many thanks for the quick replies and info. I was never supplied with the supplement to go in the handbook so will chase it up.

If you message me I'll send you a scanned copy in the interim which also states the tracked mile service requirements now required.

Originally it was 475Nm, then 500Nm after the first recall and they stopped printing it on the nut when it went to 600Nm.

Thanks to all for your help and info. OPC confirm that the latest torque setting is 600nm and they have supplied the missing paperwork. Guess this is what happens when you get new glasses and can read the writing on the nuts!
