HIF 6 HIF 44 Throttle body wanted Hampshire UK

Hi!

Anyone got a SU HIF44 OR HIF6 Throttle body (ie. the carb less the dashpot and piston - or complete?)going cheap? It is needed for my resto project "#9"

I have a real fuelling issue!!!

Depite a new float and new needle valve and seat AND checking the fuel pressure is sub 2.5 psi from the Facet Silver Top and adjustments according to the SU book... I still have a fountain

I AM STUMPED so need another carb to check against mine... it can have a worn butterfly etc etc I just need to see WHY that one doesn't piss petrol out the jet

Anyone any ideas?

My brother might have something - he recently put a brand new HIF44 on his MG Metro engine. I'll ask him what happened to the previous one. I don't think there was anything wrong with it.

Try the local scrappy for a metro 1.3, won't cost you more than a tenner and you will have a spare aswell!
