Brighton Speed Trials 2013 Cancelled

Following a fatality last year, representatives from the Brighton and Hove Motor Club and Brighton and Hove City Council, met last week and agreed that it would be unwise to host the speed trials until the circumstances that led up to the incident are fully understood and the Coroner has reported her findings.

I marshalled at last years trials and really hope to do it again. I pray that it isn't cancelled for good...

I was hoping to go one year. I appreciate the importanc of finding out the cause of the crash, but suppose the never find the cause. It could have been bike or human error but I struggle to see how we would ever know.

Thanks for the update. I go every year and left shortly before the fatality last year. A very sad end to a great day. I really hope they run it again, it is a brilliant day out.

Does anyone know how the rider is doing now? It must be very difficult for him.......
