Apologies if this has been posted before.
Anyone with a spare couple of million fancy buying this? 1963 Corvette Special "Rondine" - a Corvette with a steel body! Up for sale at auction in August. Previously fetched $1.76M in 2008.

What is it about cars that look quirky? They have a fascination all of their own that I find runs deeper than conventionally beautiful cars.

The 'Rondine' falls into this category (along with things like the Ghia L6.4, '63 'Vette coupe, Facel ll and Lamborghini 350GT, my favourite car of all).

Classic and Sportscar have run an article on the Rondine sometime in the last couple of years for anyone who is interested...sorry, can't remember the exact issue.

Very nice. Prettier than the Lambo 400GT.

I'd personally have the Lambo and spend the rest champagne in Monaco.

I'd have a Countach QV over both.
