That's the question really.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that there is no chair for the customer in front of the sales desk at Maranello concessionaires.

The idea apparently is that the Ferrari marque demands reverence & you should be on your knees when you sign the order. IIRC Eric Clapton & Rod Stewart etc all have knelt in front of the desk...

Is there any truth in that or is it just my memory playing tricks on me?

Please help. It's a quiet day at work...

Think I heard the same thing.

IIRC it was on Top Gear when Clarkson bought his 355.

You might be getting confused with the factory.

If you do factory collection on a new car you can sign the owners book and you kneel to sign this at the factory.

Errr I think this is an urban myth - certainly I've always been offered a comfy chair at maranellos when doing business at the Maserati end of things.. I can't see those spending 25%+ more on their car being subjected to more uncomfortable situations!
