Spotted whilst travelling back to Edinburgh airport after a business trip on Friday.... We passed a Jeep garage (Glenvargarill - almost definately spelt wrong!)
and there in showroom window was a lovely looking brand new Jensen SV8 for sale (£39,995 - according to the sticker price on the bonnet). It certainly looked much nicer than the magazine photos have led me to believe.

I didn't realise these were in showrooms yet. When's the road test Ted?

There's one at the HR Owen garage in St. Albans. It's been there for at least a month now - it's in dark blue and doesn't have any plates on it yet. Looks lovely at the moment, not sure how it will look once the plates are put on, they tend to spoil the lines of most cars IMO

Graham Bell has been talking to Jensen about this and there is of course a long list of mags waiting to get their hands on it. He's on the case though and we will hopefully get our hands on it in the not too distant.

Cheers Ted, look forward to that review.

Also had my first view of the new Morgan on the road the other day. It may look like it's just had an unfortunate head on incident with a lamp-post, but my gawd it's got some road presence. So good to see a company avoiding "me too" design.

Ted - why not try Nick Whale Sportscars in birmingham? They've got a demonstrator.

BTW i had a good look at it when i was last up there.. build quality did not impress. Also, you can see the door hinge mechanism clearly thru' the "cooling" vents in front of the doors. Ugh.

Just seen tonights BBC NW News anouncing lay offs at the Jensen manufacturing base in Liverpool.
Would be a great same if Jensen fails, there's too few High end Brit sportscar makers left.
The latest model has presence and individuality , a TVR for the more mature purchaser who doesn't want to default purchase a Merc SL or Lexus SC ?
Who knows?
Either way , hope everything works out right for Jensen and Manufacture continues in the UK.

"Do you want fries with that?".....

Such a pity it's all gone a bit pear-shaped for Jensen.

Sorry folks but the front of the Jensen looks like a hard-boiled egg that's been dropped. Or a Citroen DS.
