I notice that on my 991 the sport chassis setting is set to "last", so if the car was in sport chassis when I last drove it, it will be the same when I drive it again. However, "sport" and "auto stop start" reset themselves when the car is switched off.

Anyone know whether it's possible to set these two settings to "last" as well?

Many thanks.

Would it be too much to check the manual?

I'd be interested in this... Don't think it's possible though. The start stop I actually don't mind, it's the coasting in town driving conditions which I can't stand. They should really be separated and not under the same switch

I thought coasting was a separate setting in Car Settings?

Is yours an American car?

As far as i know all settings go back to standard every time you turn off/on on uk spec cars

In light of the fact that I don't have access to the technician's manual, yes.

No, UK car. I have a guessing that all the switchable functions can be set to default on, off or "last". My sports chassis is set to "last". I would prefer all the buttons were the same.

yes theres a button to turn it off.. i find it quite anoying, but the coasting function i like its a shame they don't have separate buttons, i'd also like to be able to use coasting in sport mode

Surely they have to default to 'on' for the co2 and mpg figures to be valid.

I am sure you are right, but as the owner of the car I would quite like to change how it works if it's possible.

The stop-start, when I don't turn it off, is a nuisance. If you're at a junction, want to nip out quickly and have forgotten that the stop start is enabled it seems a bit hairy. The car initially baulks as if it's going to stall, before waking up and performing as expected. It's only a momentary thing but I'd prefer it didn't do it. If I've been in sport mode for some time and then stop for some fuel, for example, the stop-start re-enables itself and it's after that when I find I get caught out.

Even if it were just possible for the sport mode to be at "last" it would be something.
