The mother of a mate of mine drives like a complete nutter. She only has 1.6 corolla, but floors it in every gear, goes 70-90 in 50 zones (ks), and revs to (by the sound of it) 5 grand in every gear. This in a car running on only 3 cylinders! She dosent corner hard. Now what I cant figure out is if she is a plain NUMPTY with no sense of speed or acceleration, or a true blue DRIVING NUT like us peoples!
I have been driven by a race driver in a 450hp Cosmo around the streets, so it wasn't scary as such.
Maybe i should loan her my uncles HSV and see what happens!

Dude, 16 and able to drive! Do you have someone next to you or do you just carry those "P" plates?

Oh and that "give way to traffic turning right" is a top idea, after you actually realise its in force!

(P.S Lake Taupo is tops on a windy day!)

Hey man i resent that. :P
Yes actually i am on my learners licence. :P
Yes Mummy does have to come along for the ride, and "L" plates are nesecarry. I will get my restricted (same as provisional) in a few months when i have the money. No R/P plates then! (Stupid NZ laws). And yes the give way rules are totally screwed.
To paraphrase:
"The give way to turnig right rule was intorduced by simple mistake. The politicaian who submitted the bill just had a 'new, unlikely idea' for a new road rule. The only reason cabinet passed it was because he had left a week or so ago and they had forgotten what it (hte bill) was actuaaly for!"

Beauracreacy at its best!

5000 rpm... exactly... I get 6300 out of the Puma most days as it revs nicely all the way to the limiter (which thankfully is a "soft" limiter)

Just chill out.. she's probably just trying to get some decent power out of the 1.6
