944 shooting brake
Discussion
Any one know anymore about these, production numbers, am guessing single figures

Main thing is that someone's bound to be very witty and compare it to the Allegro estate, they always do.
I love it, but I also like the Lynx Eventer and all the Aston shooting brake conversions.
There was a rumour that DP had one kit left. ISTR it was about a £17K conversion, and would jump at it if I had the money. The usual number that people think were made was 7, a mix of 924s and 944s, but nothing definitive.

You and me too, Paul

You know that I love HPEs (one series 2 1.6l-TC and one 2.0l-VX), but Id sooner have a Strosek SportKombi hatch. Virtually all of the space but you can revert to a coupe by undoing four bolts and swapping back to the original hatch.

Not much wrong with that, I used a company Polo for ages. Built well, fitted loads of camera cases in as it was actually "square" inside, as most boxes are (and modern estates aren't). Never broke down, cost pennies to run.http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8231/8596638374_0e4d...

High praise indeed.

Oh I agree.High praise indeed.
Nothing wrong with my gran either.
But I'd be concerned if my girlfriend looked anything like her.

Love the 928, not seen that one before!
Looks like the wheelbase is extended, superb continental cruiser.
Wasn't it a one-off made for one of the Porsche family? There was certainly a four-door special, can't remember if it had the same rear as the normal 928.Looks like the wheelbase is extended, superb continental cruiser.
Is it just me, or is that 928 a better-looking car than the Panamera? Whilst I like the Pana, the 928 still looks so nice.
Some Porsches suddenly look dated when the replacement comes along; think 944 to 968, 996 to 997, Boxster to new Boxster, Cayenne to new Cayenne. The 928 has never been bettered.

£17k, that would buy a nice RS4 Avant.
