road trip completed london to Tongue then south on islands
Discussion
I arrived back on Saturday after my 2 weeks road trip from London to Strathblane, Dunkeld to stop off aviemore, Blair castle! House of bruar,
Next stay at beauly, then north past Dunrobin castle and glen morangie distillery up past helmsdale, Kinbrace, towards Bettyhill to stay at Tongue,
Next off to durness then south towards Ullapool passing kylesku ,
then over to stornoway by ferry then staying in isle of Harris in finsbay,
Then back to tarbert over the ferry to isle of Skye driving down from uig to portree then over to eilien donan castle then north again towards Anat, shieldeigh and Torridon. Staying at the torridon inn then retracing back along loch carron to head past glengarry viewpoint to fort William then back via Callandar to Strathblane with a final stop at glen goyne distillery
Some amazing roads
No traffic
Seals, puffins! Red deer no whales though
No unmarked cops thankfully
No ques
Varying expense in petrol but surprise was fort William was as cheap as anywhere not like the north tip of scotland at 1.56 per litre
0 degrees and snow form5 mins whilst most of the time it was 7 degrees. Plenty of roof down weather , a bit of rain
Some class empty beaches
No midgies
WArm friendly people
Pub food just as expensive as London to my shock
Tourism is still lazy though as trying to do anything after 6pm is hard and even pubs last orders were sometimes 8pm!
Pics coming

bingo! you know the locations well obviously!
fantastic scenery and people to go with it.
If i could make the rest of the UK once in their life, they should get in their car and drive up and round the top almost uninhabited part of the country I would....
honestly its crazy that 65m people in this country and only a few thousand exlore it... All the other cars i saw that looked like they were touring were strangely enough 2013 reg plates... but not scottish reg plates so people from further away.
