Very excited (and a little aprehensive) tonight as I'm going on my first trackday tomorrow.

Can anybody tell me what the factory recommended settings are for the change up lights? Is it the 6000 - 6500 - 7000 shown in the picture in the manual?

The engine is well run in (25,000 miles on a 2002 Tuscan). What settings do other people recommend, (bearing in mind that I don't want to blow it up as closest service centre is 1,500 miles away!)?

I've searched through the previous posts but can't find it, although I'm sure I saw it on here recently.

I'll take some pictures tomorrow and post them soon as the track is in an absoltely stunning setting, close to Ronda in the mountains above the Costa del Sol.

Thanks.

I haven't got my handbook to hand, but that sounds like the default settings.

As far as the settings which will work for you, remember there is no point in continuing to rev beyond the peak on the power curve - it's then that you need another gear! With only a few weeks experience of living with the Tuscan all I can really say is that those lights seem to light up mighty quickly!!!!

Good point about the power curve. Don't suppose you happen to know where the peak is?

Just looked in an old Evo magazine and it says 350 Bhp @ 7,200 revs, is this the peak and if so isn't it a bit above the factory recommendation?

Remember that no two are likely to be the same! Whatever EVO got hold of may not be indicative of the rest...
