OK, its raining, aready had my Tiv fix for the day. Falcon 4 has shot me down again. Fed up with ram raiding a fire engine in driver 2 and airfix no longer has the same appeal (HMS Victory will still sink at the moment).
So whats it to be? Radio controlled car? Plane? Or helicopter, told they are a bugger to fly. Or maybe a robot kit?
Wonder how much a bouncy castle costs?
I did see a personal helicopter pack simular to the jet pack in James Bond but that was megga bucks or an April the 1st thingy.
My stunt kite is fun but I like the sound of them aerofoils that lift you off the ground.
Any nice distractions out there to consider for a rainy day, or any other for that matter?

Jeff, if you like your stunt kite then this is a good route. A mate used to sell kites and I've played with a lot of his big stuff; it's seriously good.

I've tried jumping cars with a kite. Been dragged accross a field in a sleeping bag. Towed a car. Ploughed beaches with my feet. Gained bruises on my chest standing arms around a trigpoint.

Kite buggies are the most scary thing I've ever done on wheels. How about a jibe resulting in a massive powerslide where the back wheels cross the tracks of front wheel. And not forgetting completely cocking it up and doing 30mph backwards !!!!!!

Formation flying is pretty groovy if you take it to the point where you punch through each others strings and try to sort out the tangle while in the air.

Some of the four line kites are really great. Not the power four liners which are like a two line with brakes; but the true aerobatic angels that can move in any direction at any time regardless of the kite orientation. Backwards is the same as forewards except the other way around. Sideways is just as good.

Ah kites....

Working in Swansea on and off at a court case and I have seen surfers using them, go anywhere. Good stuff.
Lots of good beaches around here so thats a route I may take. Quite cheap as well. 4 liners... have to look into that. Also kite fighting, have to look into that as well.
Saw your Vectron on the Bristol site which prompted me to ask this question, and after you mentioned it at Combe, trying to set lap records.
Have you mastered it yet Dan?
PS
Have got quite good at chasing dogs in the right wind. Funny to see them run after a quick bark at the kite. Owners arn't too impressed though.

Jeff, the car towing I mentioned was a right hoot. My mate set up a stack of kites and installed me in the boot of his golf on my back with with my legs braced against the uprights around the hatch. Cameras rolling - Right a good low pass to get the car moving - BANG - I'm out of the car face down on the tarmac. No idea what actually happened. Loops around my wrists just ripped me out of the car !

Powerboat racing is a very expensive sport, no doubt about it. But this new boat will make it just that little bit more accessible. A snip at £36,000, the 280bhp 5.7 litre engine can reach 80mph and is guaranteed to scare you witless.

Slightly on the pricey side to say the least...but doesn't matter if it's raining!. A good website to visit is firebox.com...loads of ideas for those rainy days (and no I have nothing to do with the site !)
