How do you get a great idea into production?

I have a great idea which would just look like a fun gadget to add to a bike but allow you to avoid speeding fines from gatso's. I obviously can't tell you what it is, but it would be small and reusable and it could most probably sell for around 20 quid.

I got the Idea riding into Wales today! (wonder why!)

I reckon you need to be looking a patenting the idea, then approach som manufacturers etc.

Have you tried asking on the business forum?

patent is important, but not actually required. The risk without, is that someone can copy and sell for less. This usually involved the people you get to make it!!

All you really need to do is raise sales interest, and find someone that will make it.

can you email the idea off line? I sell bike accessories and would be interested to know more.
