Anyone recognise this chassis ?

This intrigues me.
Anyone recognise the original chassis ? Obviously it looks as if the angle iron sectons are a later addition.

Initial thought was TR2 given the wire wheels on the front and steel wheels at the back, thinking of something that had covered rear wheels!

The rears are wire centres !



It's the chassis from a 1950's kit car. Engine and gearbox are Standard items but that means nothing as such are easy to swop. I suspect pre WWII chassis as doubt many post war cars got broken to provide running gear for a late 50's kit car.
Most small cars that were kit car donors, like Austin 7, Ford 8, 10 etc, had transverse front springs but these are longtitudinal

Hey, you're right, it's a Loxley Losenge series 6 with the front-mounted VW-Beetle-flat-4 mounted back-to-front. Obviously this one doesn't seem to have have it's engine fitted yet, but am sure there's a proud owner out there just waiting for delivery.
