ANPR or Speed Camera

So, I was driving down the avenue in Southampton about 2 hours ago, I was driving through the 30 section towards the end of it (inner avenue), on my right in the grass/park area was a chap with what looked like a camera on a tripod, he was wearing a 'Think Bike' high vis, there was no car or van I could see, however on the way back down the same road an hour or so later the man and tripod were gone but a speed camera van was hidden in one of the side roads come off to the left of where I had previously been driving. So what do we think, ANPR or Speed Camera

Sounds like a speed camera - the little bearded fellow got me with the tripod. His van was tucked away.

If it were ANPR you would have seen cars/bikes waiting up the road to pull the miscreants over there and then.

The little troll is always hiding by the crossing as it goes down to a 30. Its hard to see him as he hides between the tree and crossing post, normally got his bike parked nearby.

Always glares at the subtle golf as i drive past!

Speed Camera it is then, the only thing that surprised me is he didn't have police written anywhere, I though they had to have something, even just a High Vis, but he didn't have anything. Pretty sure I was doing less than 35 anyway so it shouldn't matter, guess I will find out in two weeks (roughly)
